I hadn’t noticed them

so  i  just
gave  in
to  gravity,
at  times
it  will  win,
good  levity  alone
goes  overworked
and  overthrown,
so  i  just
sink,
into  the  softest
of  mattresses,
facing  up
at  the
darkest
ceiling

humiliated

as  light
peeks  through
the  transom
like  some
warm  wonderful
cosmic  cotton,
exposing
floating  particles
of  dust

freed,
from  the  grasp
of  gravity
